MEET BODEGA BY V
Veronica Torres is the designer and founder behind Bodega By V, a brand that intertwines her Dominican, Puerto Rican, and Chinese heritage to create sustainable, handmade garments.
Inspired by her mother’s family-operated marketa in Santo Domingo, V creates pieces that evoke nostalgia and celebrate the multifaceted nature of her multicultural identity, growing up china-latina.

V’s journey into fashion began at the age of six when her mother taught her to sew by hand. Over the years, she has honed her craft, specializing in creating one-of-a-kind custom pieces and ready-to-wear designs.

Her work is characterized by vibrant colors, inspired by the colmados of the Caribbean and the iconic bodegas of NYC. Her specialty lies in crafting corsets that combines structured silhouettes with delicate, silky fabrics.

Through her designs, V aims to make clothing that people can see themselves in, honoring the rich cultural tapestry that shapes her unique designs and perspectives.
